When to let go of a relationship:

  • When you begin to sacrifice more than you have to give.
  • When you spend more time feeling rejected, misunderstood, & alone, than feeling seen, heard, & cared for.
  • When the relationship is only “happy” when you are quiet about your needs.
  • When you have to ask for basic human respect or compassion.

Let go of a relationship when you give more than you have, feel rejected more than loved, or stay quiet to keep peace. If you must ask for basic respect or compassion, it’s time to walk away. A healthy relationship should make you feel seen, heard, and cared for, not drained and alone.
