TRAUMA
can make it feel like you’re never safe, even if the world around you appears to be safe to everyone else. This can make it incredibly difficult to explain to non-traumatized people, who can’t see a clear “reason” you feel anxious, paranoid, scared, or powerless.

Trauma can make you feel unsafe, even when everything seems fine to others. This makes it hard to explain your anxiety, fear, or powerlessness to people who haven’t experienced trauma. They may not understand why you feel this way, as they don’t see a clear reason for your emotions.
