IT’S NOT TOO LATE TO TELL YOUR CHILD:

  • I wasn’t listening, but I am now.
  • What I did must have scared you.
  • What I did was wrong.
  • It wasn’t okay that I did that.
  • I don’t know, but we will figure it out.
  • I made a mistake.
  • I’m sorry.

It’s never too late to apologize to your child. Admit when you were wrong, say sorry, and promise to listen now. Acknowledge their feelings and mistakes you made. This builds trust and shows them it’s okay to own up to errors and grow from them.
