Forgiveness is the conscious decision to release the burden of resentment, anger, or vengeance held against someone who has caused harm. It entails relinquishing negative emotions, finding compassion, and allowing oneself to heal and move forward. However, forgiving can be a struggle for several reasons.

For this Expert Mind Talk, we have Dr. Karen Finn with us again who is a divorce coach. She works with individuals from the moment divorce enters their mind as a solution to their marital problems (which for many it isn’t the solution) all the way through the divorce process to managing co-parenting while building a new and satisfying life post-divorce.

In this Mind Talk Session, she explains what forgiveness really is, why we struggle with forgiveness, and whether or not it is easier to forgive someone else than it is to forgive ourselves.
